"Nicholas" is a short film which I co-produced and filmed, along with Jackson Stahl, the owner of Jaxhouse Productions.
Working with local actors, we filmed this short film in the span of two weeks, working with lighting, sound, editing equipment, and the like. This is the final product. The film was later entered into a local film festival, the results to be revealed shortly. Check out Jaxhouse Productions for more information regarding the film, as well as the rest of the crew. |
This is a commercial that I also co-produced with the help of Jaxhouse Productions and the Urban Arts Institute located in downtown Asheville, NC. I was responsible for the creative idea behind the commercial and the editing. Mission: Our purpose is to enhance our students' lives through artistic expression to build self-esteem, improve academic skills and communications to build community and to reduce possible gang activity. History: The Urban Arts Institute was established in 2007, but went into hiatus for several years and was re-established in early September 2010. UAI now regularly serves nearly 300 young, often disadvantaged inner city residents aged 5-25 years, offering after-school dance, drama and music classes while at the same time keeping students on track with their regular school studies. UAI also offers Summer enrichment classes. Members meet after school at the W.C. Reid Center, a community facility for the Livingston Heights neighborhood. |

As a member of the senior class board my senor year of my undergraduate career, we planned and implemented a senior movie night, during which we would show the cult classic film, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
One marketing technique we thought would be effective was to film a parady, using our mascot Rocky the Bulldog in the place of Bueller. This is the result. My role in the creation of this commercial was both as an actor, (I played Rocky), and as a producer, (I created the shot list around the formatted script). |
